Laura Handley is the Laura K. Handley Endowed Plastic Folding Chair of Prose, Mountain Studies, and Selective Reality at the Laura Handley Institute. Her research interests include alpine geography, applied psychoacoustics, and why people do things. An alumna of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, Virginia Tech (B.S. in Mathematics, 2014), Barnes & Noble's Learning Management System, and Advanced Survival Training, she has presented her work at esteemed academic institutions and done much to coach and support her fellow writers. Her copyediting and math tutoring assistance is highly sought after. In her modest amounts of spare time, she enjoys hiding from attention, hunting for rare plants, lying around in odd places, and staring up at the sky.
